Head of Academic Strategy

We are seeking an exceptional Head of Academic Strategy to lead large-scale academic planning, program development, and education transformation initiatives. This is a unique opportunity for senior strategy consultants with deep experience in education to step into a high-impact leadership role shaping the future of academic systems and institutions.Who We’re Looking ForThis role is ideal for Senior Managers from top-tier strategy consultancies who are ready to transition into a Head-level leadership position within the education sector.Required background:Senior Manager (or equivalent) at a leading strategy consultancyAt least two education-related consulting projects, ideally within the GCC/UAE region.10+ years’ experience in academic planning, higher education strategy, institutional effectiveness, or education transformation.Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder strategy projects from concept to execution.The RoleAs Head of Academic Strategy, you will:Lead the development of long-term academic strategies aligned to institutional and national priorities.Translate strategic goals into actionable academic programs, initiatives, and implementation plans.Oversee the design, evaluation, and continuous improvement of academic programs.Ensure full compliance with national and international accreditation standards.Drive data-informed decision-making using analytics, forecasting, and performance insights.Serve as the primary liaison for senior leadership, regulatory bodies, universities, and external partners.Lead and mentor a high-performing team of academic planners, analysts, and strategy specialists.Apply consulting methodologies to complex education transformation initiatives and academic reform projects.What You BringStrong problem-solving acumen and the ability to structure, analyze, and synthesize complex issues.Outstanding communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership and government stakeholders.Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities.Experience working within or advising on GCC/UAE higher education systems is an advantage.Exceptional stakeholder-management skills and the ability to navigate divergent priorities.Why This Role?This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership position where strategic consulting experience is not only valued, but essential.
