The organization operates its own farms, ensuring full control over the production process—from soil preparation to post-harvest handling—while maintaining world-class quality standards through continuous improvement and certified operational procedures.Job SummaryThe Head of Accounting will oversee the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting functions. This role is responsible for leading the accounting team, managing financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making within a fast-paced agricultural and export environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.Lead the budgeting and forecasting process in coordination with the finance and operations teams.Oversee cash flow management, ensuring liquidity and efficient utilization of financial resources.Manage taxation matters and ensure timely compliance with local tax regulations.Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.Monitor cost structures and margins, identifying areas for optimization and operational efficiency.Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.Support management with financial analysis and business performance reports to guide decision-making.Supervise, coach, and develop accounting team members to ensure high performance and accuracy.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is preferred.10+ years of progressive experience in accounting.Previous experience in agriculture, FMCG, or export-oriented industries is highly preferred.Strong leadership and people management capabilities.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.High attention to detail and accuracy.Integrity, confidentiality, and a results-oriented mindset.Solid knowledge of Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS) and IFRS.Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and export documentation.Familiarity with taxation, auditing, and financial compliance procedures.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (preferably ODOO, SAP, or similar).Fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken).Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.Strong business acumen and strategic financial insight.Capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
