We're a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka, looking for a Head of Business Intelligence & Growth for a leading FMCG/Manufacturing company based in Colombo. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical and analytical expertise with strategic vision and commercial acumen. You’ll play a pivotal role in identifying market opportunities, shaping investment decisions, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver sustainable business growth.Key Responsibilities:Lead Business Intelligence & Insights:Develop and manage the BI function, overseeing data strategy, analytics, and reporting to drive evidence-based decision-making across the organization.Review Investment Proposals:Assess and challenge business cases and investment proposals, ensuring sound financial modelling, strategic alignment, and risk evaluation.Monitor Projects Post-Investment:Establish frameworks for tracking performance of approved projects and investments, providing ongoing insights and ROI analysis.Growth & Market Opportunity Analysis:Identify emerging market trends, competitor dynamics, and strategic growth opportunities to inform business planning and expansion strategies.Cross-Department Collaboration:Partner with Finance, Strategy, Product, and Operations teams to align BI initiatives with organizational objectives and strategic priorities.Strategic Leadership:Mentor and develop a high-performing BI and analytics team, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.Qualifications & Experience:Mandatory: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification.Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Corporate Strategy, Investment Analysis, or a related field.Proven experience leading BI or analytics teams within a complex, fast-paced organization.Strong expertise in financial modelling, market analysis, and investment appraisal.Proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL) and advanced Excel/financial analysis skills.Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex insights into actionable strategies.
