OverviewA leading international organisation undergoing significant digital transformation is seeking a Head of Cyber Security to define, build, and lead its enterprise-wide cyber security function.This is a strategic leadership role reporting directly to the Group CTO, with responsibility for shaping the company’s cyber security posture and leading the evolution of its cyber strategy across infrastructure, applications, cloud, and business operations.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute the company-wide cyber security strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk appetite.Serve as the primary security advisor to the CTO, providing insight into evolving threats, compliance issues, and enterprise-wide risk.Build, scale, and lead the cyber security function — including hiring, coaching, and structuring teams across operations, architecture, governance, and compliance.Oversee the security of IT infrastructure, including networks, cloud platforms, on-prem systems, and endpoint environments.Develop and enforce enterprise security policies, frameworks, and technical standards.Strengthen incident detection and response capabilities, including SIEM, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management.Collaborate with teams across infrastructure, DevOps, product, legal, and compliance to embed security in the business lifecycle.Lead security incident response and act as a key escalation point for major incidents.Maintain relationships with external security partners, auditors, and regulators.Stay abreast of emerging threats, technologies, and compliance requirements.RequirementsSignificant experience in cyber security leadership roles, such as Head of Security, Security Director, or CISO.Strong background in infrastructure (networks, systems, cloud, on-prem environments) and the ability to engage deeply with technical teams.Track record of building and leading high-performing security teams.Expertise in developing and executing enterprise security strategies.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience reporting at C-level.Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls) and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, PCI-DSS).Practical experience with tools such as SIEMs, endpoint protection, IAM, and threat intelligence platforms.Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CCSP) are advantageous.Why ApplyStrategic, business-critical leadership role with direct impact on enterprise risk and resilience.Opportunity to shape and build a modern cyber function from the ground up.High visibility with executive leadership and influence across the organisation.Competitive compensation package and flexible working model.
