Expleo Ireland is seeking an accomplished Head of Data Solutions to lead and scale our Data Solutions Practice — driving growth, innovation, and delivery excellence across all data services and consultancy engagements.This senior management role carries full accountability for the strategy, service offering, go-to-market approach, revenue growth, and delivery of all Data Solutions within Expleo Ireland.The successful candidate will be a strategic and decisive leader, capable of combining commercial acumen with deep data expertise. A key and immediate priority will be the development of a high-level Strategy and Business Plan for the Data Practice, ensuring that Expleo remains a trusted partner for data-driven transformation across industries.Working closely with the Managing Director, COO, and Director of Software Engineering, the Head of Data Solutions will steer the strategic direction of the business, ensuring that data services contribute to Expleo’s ambitious growth targets.To succeed in the role you will be a dynamic and results-driven leader with proven experience in building and scaling data practices within a consulting, professional services, or enterprise environment. You will combine strategic vision, commercial acumen, and hands-on technical understanding to deliver measurable business outcomes and drive transformation.Responsibilities Leadership Define and own the ambition, strategy, and roadmap for the Data Solutions Practice, aligned with Expleo Ireland’s overall business objectives . Drive the development of new service offerings and go-to-market propositions that strengthen Expleo’s market position. Collaborate with the COO, Director of Software Engineering, and Head of Sales to translate strategy into executable business and operational plans. Lead the creation and execution of annual business, workforce, and learning & development plans for the practice. Manage budgets, resources, and profitability targets, ensuring effective cost control and sustainable return on investment. Oversee performance reporting and service reviews, ensuring transparency and accountability. Build and maintain visibility of the Data Solutions brand internally and externally, positioning Expleo as a thought leader in the market. Attract and retain top talent, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. Champion continuous improvement to ensure all services remain fit-for-purpose and aligned to client needs and Expleo’s long-term vision. Delivery Oversee the end-to-end delivery of data solutions , ensuring all client projects are scoped accurately, delivered on time, within budget, and exceed expectations. Provide executive sponsorship and technical governance for major programmes, ensuring quality, compliance, and risk management. Build strong relationships with C- and D-level client stakeholders , ensuring alignment with their strategic data goals. Leverage Expleo’s global assets, delivery centres, and partnerships to drive efficiency and scale, promoting Bestshore delivery models. Guide teams in delivering scalable cloud-based data platforms and architectures that support analytics, AI, and automation. Promote adherence to data governance, security, and compliance frameworks , including GDPR and other industry standards. Encourage innovation through publication of white papers, blogs, and thought leadership in the data and analytics domain. Business Development Partner with Sales, Account Directors, and the COO to grow revenue streams from both existing and new clients. Lead the pre-sales and solution definition process for all data-related opportunities, ensuring proposals demonstrate clear business value. Contribute to bid management and tender responses , owning the service input for data proposals. Build and nurture a strong professional network across clients, partners, and the wider technology ecosystem. Represent the Data Solutions Practice as Expleo’s spokesperson and industry expert , contributing to events, conferences, and professional forums. Achieve agreed revenue and gross profit targets, ensuring commercial viability and long-term growth of the Data Practice. Talent Management Lead local and global resourcing strategies for the Data Solutions Practice, ensuring the right skills and capacity to meet business demands. Define and implement a workforce and succession plan aligned to the growth strategy. Partner with HR to assess, develop, and attract top talent, ensuring a balance of technical expertise , leadership potential, and diversity. Foster a high-performance culture built on empowerment, accountability, and continuous professional development. Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline ; postgraduate qualification desirable. Professional certifications in cloud or data leadership (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, etc.) advantageous . Essential Skills Visionary, strategic, and commercially minded leader. Excellent communicator, confident in representing the organisation externally. Decisive, results-oriented, and energised by challenge and growth. Empathetic and people-focused, with strong emotional intelligence. Innovative, bold, and forward-looking, capable of driving continuous improvement. Experience 15+ years’ experience in data, technology, or digital transformation, with 5+ years in a senior leadership or head-of-practice role . Demonstrated success in defining and executing data strategies, operating models, and business plans that deliver tangible growth. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across data architecture, engineering, analytics, and AI. Strong understanding of the end-to-end data lifecycle , including governance, security, analytics, and insight generation. Experience managing large-scale client programmes and achieving operational and financial KPIs. Deep commercial awareness and experience of margin management, service P&L ownership, and investment planning. Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills , with credibility at C-suite level.
