About the RoleMy client is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Digital Transformation to lead their digital strategy across all business units within the automotive and manufacturing sectors. Based in Baden-Württemberg, the heart of Germany’s industrial innovation, this role will be pivotal in driving the company’s transition toward Industry 4.0 — integrating cutting-edge technologies, optimizing operations, and enabling new digital business models.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute the company’s digital transformation roadmap aligned with overall business strategy.Lead cross-functional teams to deliver digital initiatives in smart manufacturing, process automation, data analytics, and connected mobility.Implement digital solutions that enhance productivity, quality, and customer experience — from ERP modernization to IoT, AI, and cloud integration.Collaborate with C-level leadership to identify new digital revenue streams and drive cultural change toward digital-first thinking.Manage partnerships with technology providers, start-ups, and research institutions to accelerate innovation.Monitor KPIs to ensure measurable business impact and continuous improvement in digital maturity.Champion change management, communication, and training initiatives across the organization to support digital adoption.Your ProfileDegree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.10+ years of experience in digital transformation, ideally within the automotive or industrial manufacturing sectors.Proven success in leading large-scale digital programs (e.g., automation, AI/ML, ERP, IoT, PLM, or smart factory projects).Strong understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies, digital ecosystems, and enterprise architecture.Strategic thinker and hands-on leader with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Fluent in English and German.Why Join My ClientBe part of a market-leading industrial innovator driving sustainable digital transformation in the heart of Germany’s manufacturing landscape.Opportunity to shape the digital strategy of a forward-looking organization with global reach.Collaborative culture with strong executive sponsorship and investment in technology and people.
