Attracting, retaining, and developing our people are key priorities and we have an ambitious People Strategy which aligns with our strategic business objectives.The Team The People and Capability Office has overall responsibility for crafting and implementing a vision for organisational transformation, driving initiatives that support EirGrid strategic goals in people management, internal communications, and process enhancement.The People and Capability Office plays a pivotal role in shaping the next phase of EirGrid's evolution, facilitating cultural change, and building and enabling a high-performance environment. From talent development to employee engagement, the People and Capability Office leads the charge in creating a motivated workforce and delivering best-practice HR policies and solutions.Job PurposeThe Head of Employee Experience and Engagement will play a crucial role in shaping workplace culture, driving employee engagement and managing organisational employee relations. The role will join the People and Capability Leadership team.This new and exciting role will develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall employee experience journey, making it engaging, and aligned with EirGrid’s goals and values. This includes creating a positive culture, designing engagement programs, improving onboarding and communication channels, and addressing employee well-being. The role holder will be a strategic leader who partners across functions and will support line managers to create a better employee experience, which in turn drives productivity, retention, and brand reputation.The role holder will play a crucial role in creating an empowering, safe, engaging and innovative work environment for all EirGrid employees. This is a strategic leadership role that requires understanding of human behaviours, organisational psychology and business operations. The position includes responsibility for internal communications, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the monitoring of metrics to drive strategy, policy and decisions on employee engagement.The role holder will be a member of EirGrid’s extended leadership team and as such is expected to proactively contribute to the overall achievement of business objectives.Critical Knowledge, Skills And ExperienceExperienced professional with 8+ years’ experience in a HR related function, with relevant employee engagement experience.Degree in Human Resources Management, Organisational Behaviour, Occupational Psychology or a related field desirable.Experienced professional with experience of defining and implementing employee experience programmes. Strong relationship management expertise, able to build and maintain challenging relationships with confidence and authority. Experience of leading and influencing high performing teams in changing circumstancesAbility to think strategically and translate business needs into effective employee engagement solutions.Empathetic, sensitive and with sound judgment, able to act with discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive matters.Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances, demonstrate resilience and be comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity.
