Head of Finance

The RoleWe are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of the full finance function. This is an all-encompassing position that will evolve into a broader Head of Finance remit as the company grows. You will manage day-to-day finance operations, ensure robust financial controls, and act as a trusted partner to leadership.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small-business environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is energised by variety, change, and growth.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee end-to-end finance operations including AP, AR, payroll, and VATManage international tax considerations, particularly across two operating countriesLead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processesDevelop and implement financial controls, processes, and reporting frameworksBuild and mentor a small finance team as the company scalesProvide financial insight and support to management on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planningPartner with external auditors, tax advisors, and service providersSupport upcoming expansion into Germany and future new marketsHandle ad-hoc projects typical of a high-growth, multi-site environmentExperience & SkillsProven experience as a Financial Controller, Senior Accountant, Finance Manager, or similarComfortable operating in a small or scaling business where responsibilities are broad and hands-onStrong understanding of core finance processes across AP/AR, payroll, VAT, and taxExperience with multi-country or multisite environments is highly desirableExcellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-moving environmentAbility to build processes and teams from the ground upStrong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholdersAbility to adapt and problem-solve independentlyLanguagesEnglish: Required (business language)Dutch or German: Advantageous, particularly as the business expands into GermanyWhat We OfferThe opportunity to shape the finance function of a fast-growing international companyA role with genuine progression toward Head of Finance levelHigh autonomy and the chance to have a real impactCollaborative, entrepreneurial environment
