The business is in the top decile for growth, and the team is consistently described as high-trust, low-ego, and high-output.About the Opportunity:This team is seeking a Head of Finance to build and lead the financial backbone that enables the organization to scale with confidence. This is both a hands-on role and a strategic leadership role: the new hire will operate as an individual contributor in the near term while setting the foundation for a finance function that can scale with the organization.As the senior-most finance leader, this individual will shape the organization’s financial strategy, partner directly with the CEO and executive team, and own the operating model that drives decision-making at the highest level. Over time, the role will expand into areas such as M&A, audit readiness, billing, and entity management, establishing Finance as a proactive driver of growth and a trusted partner across the business.This role reports directly to the CEO.Responsibilities:• Be the Financial Leader for the organization. Operate as the senior-most finance voice in the company, partnering closely with the CEO and executive team to provide clarity, insights, and guidance on all financial matters.• Own the operating model. Take full responsibility for forecasting, reporting, and scenario planning, ensuring leadership has clear visibility into cash flow, revenue, and expenses.• Manage core financial operations. Oversee Fondo (month-end close, taxes), Ramp (spend requests, contract tracking), MCA, and pharma payables. Ensure financial operations run smoothly, reliably, and with strong controls.• Drive strategic finance initiatives. Lead cash flow forecasting, department budgeting, headcount planning, and vendor management to guide resource allocation and long-term planning.• Deliver financial clarity and discipline. Provide timely P&L reviews, budget vs. actual analyses, and board-ready reporting that surface risks and opportunities.• Lead cross-functional collaboration. Partner with department heads on budgets, vendor decisions, and headcount planning, embedding Finance as a proactive partner in decision-making.• Support long-term growth initiatives. Prepare for and eventually lead M&A processes, audit readiness (beginning in 2026), billing oversight, and entity management (in partnership with Legal).• Own key external relationships. Manage the Layer partnership and serve as the finance lead with vendors and partners.• Balance strategic and hands-on work.
