While GOAL continues to be an agile first-responder to humanitarian crises, it is also committed to working with vulnerable communities to help them survive crises and support them on the road to recovery.Job Purpose Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (Head of FP&A) is a newly created role within our Finance team. The role will be responsible for building and leading the FP&A Function for GOAL, creating and developing financial models and plans to support our decision making and translating key business challenges into forward-looking financial strategies. The successful candidate will act as a key advisor to the CEO, CFO and Board of management to deliver on the strategic objectives of GOAL and the Finance function.**Please note this role will be based on our Dublin HQ in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin, we operate a Hybrid working policy and require employees to attend the Office minimum 2 days per week **Key Areas of Responsibility: Provide strategic leadership of the FP&A function, setting its vision, objectives, and priorities in alignment with GOAL’s global strategyUnderstanding of the key challenges of GOAL and how they impact GOAL’s financial position, translating this into forward-looking financial strategies and risk management approachesLeading the newly created Financial Planning and Analysis function and overseeing financial analysis and reportingDeveloping financial models and modelling capabilities within the FP&A function to support monthly cashflow forecasting, quarterly financial forecasting and the annual budget and planning processAct as a senior advisor to the CEO, CFO, and Board on financial trends, risks, and opportunities, ensuring data-driven insight informs strategic and investment decisionsMonitoring of KPIs and performance trends identifying causes of variances and recommending corrective actions.Oversee and continuously improve the annual budgeting and long-term planning processes, ensuring alignment with GOAL’s strategic priorities and value-for-money principles.Lead ad-hoc business performance analysis to assess new opportunities, partnerships and strategic initiatives, including reporting.Drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global finance systems, processes, and tools to strengthen organisational financial resilience.Reviewing efficiency/effectiveness of the organisation, leading initiatives to optimise resource allocation and cost efficiency at global level.Represent GOAL externally with donors, partners, and financial institutions on financial planning, reporting and accountability matters.Skills & QualificationsQualified accountant with significant FP&A and financial leadership experienceProven track record in leading financial strategy, influencing executive decision-making and delivering organisational change and process improvementAbility to simplify and clarify complex problems, communicating financial information with authority to senior leaders, boards, and external stakeholders.Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; knowledge of ERP/BI systems highly desirable.Experience in international, multi-country or complex organisational environments would be beneficial but not essentialGOAL operates in some of the most difficult conflict and crises affected countries in the world, any experience candidates have in these environments would be a distinct advantage**GOAL offers staff flexible working with our hybrid model, we require our HQ employees to work 2 days per week from our office in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin** We strongly encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every single requirement listed.
