Moby Group, is exploring the FMCG sector in Afghanistan. We're seeking someone with rich and practical experience in the FMCG sector within Afghanistan's market to join our amazing team and lead this strategic initiative from the ground up, leveraging our mass media platform and logistics network.Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Leadership & Market DevelopmentLead the end-to-end FMCG market entry strategy and implementation roadmap.Conduct in-depth analysis of Afghanistan’s FMCG landscape including category performance, competitive mapping, consumer behavior, and import dynamics.Define long-term business strategy aligned with company objectives and market potential.Identify high-growth FMCG product categories (e.g., dairy, beverages, personal care, baby products).2. Product Selection & Business PlanningEvaluate and select viable product lines based on profitability, scalability, and supply chain feasibility.Develop go-to-market strategies covering pricing, positioning, branding, and distribution.Create business models and 3-year financial forecasts to guide investment and risk decisions.3. Business Development & Partnership ManagementNegotiate strategic partnerships with manufacturers, suppliers, and distribution networks.Build and manage co-branding, private label, or exclusive partnership models.Expand national coverage through sustainable distribution partnerships across Afghanistan’s 34 provinces.4. Operational Execution & Team LeadershipLead pilot product launches and oversee proof-of-concept rollouts in selected markets.Build, train, and supervise a high-performing FMCG operations and sales team.Monitor business KPIs, sales targets, and performance dashboards to ensure revenue growth.Ensure supply chain efficiency, compliance, and product quality standards.5. Media Integration & MarketingCollaborate with Moby’s creative and marketing departments to drive brand awareness.Lead data-driven campaigns across TV, digital, and radio platforms for maximum market penetration.Position products as trusted, locally relevant, and high-quality brands in the Afghan market.REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Skills & Competencies)Essential:Minimum 5–7 years of proven experience in FMCG sector (sales, marketing, product management, or business development).Deep understanding of Afghanistan’s FMCG environment, including retail networks, import regulations, and distribution models.Demonstrated success in market entry or new business development in FMCG.Strong skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and business case preparation.Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities.Proficiency in Dari/Pashto, English, and Farsi.Desirable:MBA or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or Management.Experience managing media-driven or brand-led FMCG growth strategies.Familiarity with regional FMCG markets (Iran, Pakistan, Central Asia, UAE).Working ConditionsEngagement: Full-time, PermanentLocation: Kabul, with occasional travel to provinces and regional partner countriesReports To: Business Development Director and Business CommitteeConfidentiality: Compliance with company NDA and data protection policies required
