Job Description

Job TitleHead of Information Security SectionOverall ObjectivesTo supervise all aspects related to network and information security, and apply best global practices to ensure the security and safety of all systems and applications within the Center, while minimizing technical risks.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, network security or a similar area of specialization.Experience- Bachelor’s degree, with 9 years’ experience in the same field.- Master's degree, with 7 years’ experience in the same field.- Ph.D. degree, with 5 years’ experience in the same field.Specialized-General ResponsibilitiesSupervise the development of the Center’s information security standards, follow up their implementation, provide regular awareness on them and ensure they are applied.Develop and update information security policies for the Center.Monitor and detect vulnerabilities and security incidents in the Center’s systems, respond to and address them, and store them in the relevant databases.Prepare regular reports to identify the technical requirements of the Information Security Section, and propose technical solutions and suitable recommendations for the Center’s policies.Approve information security plans in line with the Center’s goals and potential security risks.Daily monitoring of any attempts to breach the Center’s network, and work to address and eliminate any vulnerabilities.Approve a plan and design necessary technical solutions to secure the Center’s network infrastructure.Monitor the management of devices and information security control tools, such as firewalls and other tools.Follow up with the audit of device inspections to spot and eliminate vulnerabilities.Prepare information security policies for the Center, ensure their implementation and work to promote a culture of information security among employees.Continuously review and supervise the latest security systems, programs and topics related to information technology.Submit regular reports on potential risks and the current status of the Center’s two networks to the line manager.Regularly review, update, and adjust protection system rules to align with evolving work requirements.
