Head of internal control

At Air Astana, we’re now looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Internal Control to lead and enhance our internal control environment, with a strong focus on IT systems.RESPONSIBILITIES:Take full ownership of internal controls, processes, and systems - ensuring they operate efficiently and in line with best practices.Partner with IT and business teams to enhance process knowledge and strengthen system control frameworks.Lead Access Control Management, including Segregation of Duties (SoD) reviews, risk ownership, and role design.Drive automation and standardization of access controls through GRC tools and other technology solutions.Provide training and guidance to role and risk owners, promoting awareness and accountability across the organization.Support the testing and implementation of automated controls, dashboards, and violation reports (AVR).Ensure timely remediation of audit and internal control findings, maintaining a strong control culture.Promote continuous improvement through simplification, process optimization, and innovation.REQUIREMENTS:Professional Level Degree in IT or Finance.Professional certification such as CISA or CISM (required).Minimum 5 years of experience in IT application controls within Oracle, SAP, or GRC environments.In-depth knowledge of Oracle role design, transactions, and risk management.Proven experience in Internal or External Audit, preferably with Big 4 firms.Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.A proactive, results-oriented leader with a customer-focused mindset and passion for continuous improvement.
