With over 75 years at the frontier of economic growth and transformation across Africa, we deliver critical raw materials and expertise to the continent’s high GDP-contributing life sciences and industrials sectors.What are we looking for?We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Infrastructure to lead the global infrastructure of SOLEVO based in Belgrade, Serbia.What do we expect from the candidate?The candidate will lead the infrastructure (on premises and cloud) of the SOLEVO group in all technical and managerial aspects.The Key Responsibilities Empower the IT infrastructure team of currently 14 FTEs by selecting, managing and training them Lead infrastructure projects especially the integration of new companies in our global domain Manage all infrastructure vendors including license negotiations from the selection to the invoicing Organize the IT infrastructure service & support of SOLEVO group for approximately 1000 users Plan, design and maintain SOLEVO group’s IT infrastructure on premises Manage SOLEVO’s cloud infrastructure Automatize IT maintenance tasks to create an efficient and lean infrastructure organization Support the IT director in creating the IT budget concerning infrastructure Responsible for attaining the approved budget goals for all group entities Take full responsibility for the IT security from Predicts, Prevent, Detect to Respond/Recover Constantly monitors latest security developments and provides recommendationsSkills And Qualifications (Must Have) Working in a management or team lead position in an infrastructure team (>5 years) IT Engineer experience (10 years) in systems and infrastructure Deep understanding of on-prem hardware: servers, firewalls, routers, switches, enterprise networking for design, installation, deployment and maintenance Proficient with Azure IaaS & PaaS: VMs, VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Azure Firewall (5 years) Experience managing hybrid cloud environments: Azure Arc, VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute together with Azure AD and Identity governance Knowledge of network security, firewall policies, Zero Trust architecture Familiarity with support and ticketing systems, incident tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or Zendesk. Experience with automation tools: Terraform, Ansible, Azure Automation, PowerShell, Bash Ability to produce and enforce policies and provide technical documentation for audits. Excellent communication skills in fluent English for effective stakeholder engagement and documentation.Skills And Qualifications (Nice To Have) French Language is considered a huge bonus Having led migration projects or implementation is appreciated Knowledge and experience with major hyperscalers like preferably Azure, AWS, GCP Having experience with licensing, vendor management and budgeting processesDesired CertificatesBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure SolutionsSC-100: Microsoft Cybersecurity ArchitectTOGAFCertifications in process management methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) or Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master) are highly beneficial.Soft Skills Demonstrated ability to tackle complex problems effectively and adapt to fast-paced growing environments. Strong leadership qualities and the ability to mentor junior engineers to let the them grow on a personal and qualification level Proven track record of working effectively in remote team settings, demonstrating flexibility, and contributing positively to a collaborative work environment.
