The department deals with central IT topics such as process and project management, electronic file management, server/storage, network, media technology and unified communication. SG 5.3 IT Service deals in particular with user-related issues and works closely with the Data Center and IT Infrastructure department. We are looking for applicants who can tackle the diverse tasks and extraordinary challenges at a university with a great deal of commitment and motivation and who can maintain an overview even in stressful situations.Your Tasks You will be happy to take on the technical management of the IT Service department and lead a motivated team on an equal footing. You are characterized by an appreciative management style, strong communication skills and an interest in the further development of your employees. You will oversee and be responsible for day-to-day operations and strategic planning and act confidently and cooperatively with the various internal and external stakeholders. You manage and optimize the topics of user and application support, endpoint management, IT documentation, PKI, printers, identity management and IT contract management. Collaboration with the Digital Transformation, Data Center and IT Infrastructure departments as well as with other internal stakeholders at the university is a matter of course for you. You will also be responsible for the creation and further development of specialist concepts in the field of data processing. Our Requirements As a basis, you have a university degree (Master's or university diploma) in computer science or a comparable subject. In addition, you have at least demonstrable initial professional experience in management positions, e.g. in similar institutions or on projects. You have a very good command of German (C2 level). You have good knowledge of common IT infrastructure systems (e.g. servers, storage, network, databases, software products) and project management. Further knowledge of IT management, such as ITIL certification, is an advantage. You have a confident and engaging manner, combined with strong communication and social skills. In addition, you have an analytical, strategic and results-oriented way of thinking as well as a high degree of self-motivation and initiative and impress with a high level of service orientation. General Information About The PositionThe place of work is Lippstadt. Regular presence at the Hamm site is required. Home office arrangements are available at the university. The permanent full-time position is to be filled at the earliest possible date. Depending on the tasks assigned and fulfillment of the personal requirements, the position will be graded up to pay group 13 according to the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L).In principle, positions can also be filled on a part-time basis, provided there are no official reasons to the contrary in individual cases.
