Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.• Collaborate with the Nurse Supervisor to provide guidance and counseling to employees.• Assist in scheduling staff to ensure quality care standards and promote optimal use of staff.• Ensure to provide adequate coverage and safe patient care in consultation with the nurse supervisor for adjustment.• Advise and inform clinical staff about the implementation of policies and procedures.• Ensure the Nurse Supervisor is informed of problems or personnel issues within the clinic.• Promote open and participative communication among staff.• Maintain a flexible schedule to be available to staff members.• Assist with new Employee Orientation and probation period Evaluation.• Evaluate all new dialysis nurses alongside the Preceptor Nurse and Nurse Supervisor following their probation period.• Monitors safety, cleanliness, and security standards.• Evaluate regularly and monitor the use and replacement of equipment and supplies.• Assist with preparing monthly reports concerning the clinic's goals, achievements, and problems.• Recommend actions to the nurse supervisor that will improve the facility, enhance the quality of patient care, and boost staff satisfaction.• Ensure the utilization of quality assurance standards and protocols.• Supervise and evaluate nursing and patient care quality through patient rounds and specific quality assurance projects.• Facilitate liaisons with medical and non-medical staff to coordinate multi-disciplinary activities for patient care.• Ensure the Nurse Supervisor is informed about patient problems and issues affecting patient care.• Participate in patient and family education.• Cooperate with the Clinical Specialist to ensure that audit action plans are completed.• Demonstrate sensitivity to cultural and religious beliefs through a caring, respectful attitude, presentation, and delivery.• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills using recognized medical terminology.• Promote positive working relationships within the team.• Provide input to assist in identifying the learning needs of staff in the clinic.• Participate actively in the process to coordinate ongoing professional development of staff.• Assume responsibility for own learning and development needs.• Supervise the unit staff's ongoing review and practice of emergency procedures.• Ensure the follow-up of the clinical competencies and orientation with the nurse supervisor and preceptor nurse.• Perform other duties or tasks as assigned.Education Requirements:Registered Nurse (RN) Bachelor or High Diploma Degree in Nursing (For Non-Saudi).Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or two (2) years Associate Degree/Diploma in Nursing (For Saudis).Experience Requirements:Minimum Five (5) years of experience in dialysis.Minimum Two (2) years of experience as Head Nurse Assistant.Other Requirements:Current Registered Nurse Licensure from a country of origin.Certified and registered with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties is required.Certified in BLS from Saudi or American Heart Association and preferably in ACLS.Successfully passed the hemodialysis training program is an advantage.Passed color vision or color blindness test.
