Role Purpose:Provide structured, concise and accurate advice, and the overall management of projectAs Director/Team Leader for East China PDS TeamResponsibilities:Productivity & FinanceManage project team to meet their financial reporting objectives and line management duties, i.e. client docket/file creation, project pipeline, project costs, expenses, invoices, billing etc.Efficient use of resources (i.e. travel, stationary costs, etc)Clients & MarketingAct as focal point of contact and ensure efficient liaison between clients and appointed staff on site.Provide professional support for clients’ business needs and objectives combined with commercial awarenessCultivate and maintain strong relationships with local customers and MNC clients to drive business growth.Positive feedback in all aspects of work from clients, line manager, peers and any direct reportsNumber of requests from others for assistanceProductivity, quality and accuracy of work producedEfficient use of resources (i.e. travel, stationary costs etc)People & TeamsNegotiate with clients, building consultants, contractors and governmentProactively seek and undertake on the job and formal developmental activities to broaden experience and knowledgeAchieve annual objectives set within performance reviewProvide professional support for clients’ business needs and objectives combined with commercial awarenessPositive feedback from team and key relationshipsEffective time managementAccurate record keeping of team absence recordsOperations and riskOverall project management in building projects, renovation, maintenance and alternationAdhere strictly to the company’s compliance regulations and internal policies, ensuring all business activities are conducted in an ethical manner.Ensure appointed staff’s diaries, appointments and travel are efficiently organizedEnsure equipment, facilities and stationary are maintained to optimum levels at all timesProvide suggestions to improve and streamline team processes and proceduresUndertake voluntary or nominated duties in order to ensure the smooth flow of work through the team or business unitsWork with a management structureConsistent delivery of a high quality service to clients with their portfolio, including shopping centers, offices, industrial buildings, government buildings and residential developments.Delivery to manager’s, Director’s and clients’ deadlinesAll relevant paperwork are kept up-to-date/filed/archived etc as appropriate (including electronic data)Expense report are accurate and submitted in a timely fashionInternalTeam membersFee-earning and non fee-earning colleagues within own teamKey individuals in other teams, business units, offices and countriesExternalSuppliers and contractorsExisting and potential clientsPeers in competitor companiesExternal professionals (law, accountants, agents, surveyors, local authority, etc.)Professional bodiesGovernment Department such as Construction Bureau, Fire Services Department and etcQualifications:Honours degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Quantity Surveying, M&E EngineeringProfessional Body registration – RICS, China 建筑师, Certified Building Engineer.Knowledge & Experience:Over 15 years solid grounding to a high standard in building consultancy skills – e.g. building surveys, statutory submission, space planning, project development, design audit, contractual advice, maintenance management.Demonstrable Project Management experience.Broad-based building surveying experience acquired in the commercial sector.Experience of servicing major state-owned and corporate clients.Broad spectrum of outside interests – well developed contacts and life outside the business.Skills & Personal Qualities:Business planning and understanding of P&L principles.Business development, selling, negotiating and account management skills.
