We’re hiring a Head of Product Design to lead our next chapter—raising the craft bar, integrating AI and automation into our product, and delivering a world‑class experience across a complex product. You’ll set vision, coach an exceptional team, and partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Data to ship impactful work.What you’ll doVision & StrategyDefine and evolve the product design vision for Spendesk’s AI‑driven future.Translate company strategy into a cohesive experience roadmap across squads.Champion trustworthy, transparent AI patterns that deliver measurable value.People LeadershipLead, mentor, and grow a team of designers and a user researcher.Foster a no‑ego, collaborative culture with strong pairing and constructive critique.Own hiring, onboarding, performance, and career development; hire for culture add.Product & CraftStay close to the work—shape key product surfaces and flow for strategic project.Raise quality through reviews, async feedback, and clear guidelines.Ensure accessibility, usability, and visual excellence across the product.Cross‑Functional ImpactPartner with Product and Engineering leaders on bets, sequencing, and delivery.Contribute to strategic initiatives.Represent design in leadership forums with clarity, pragmatism, and storytelling.Operations & OutcomesEstablish reliable processes and rituals (crits, design reviews, async workflows).Embed research, analytics, and decision logs into the product lifecycle.Partner with Eng/Product Ops to improve velocity, quality, and predictability.What success looks like (first 12 months)A clear, shared design vision for Spendesk’s AI‑enabled experience.Visible improvements in quality, delivery speed, and designer empowerment.Design recognized as a strategic partner to Product and Engineering.A stable, motivated team proud of its work and culture.What you’ll bring8+ years in Product Design, including 3+ years managing teams (ideally 5–12).Track record in SaaS/B2B/fintech; B2C exposure a plus for storytelling and empathy.Practitioner‑coach: you can inspire direction and still get hands‑on when needed.Strong craft across UX, UI, and systems thinking; experience setting product‑wide standards.Excellent communication and influence with PM, Eng, Data—and credibility at exec level.Empathy, emotional intelligence, and a steady hand through change.As we are an international team, please submit your application and CV in English.About Spendesk Spendesk is the AI-powered spend management and procurement platform that transforms company spending.
