We develop advanced solutions that transform operational data into actionable intelligence, enabling critical business and technical decisions in asset-intensive sectors.Our product portfolio helps electrical power companies streamline operations and ensure a reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable power supply for their customers.Position SummaryAs we continue to scale globally, we’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Head of Quality Assurance to lead our efforts in building and shaping a global QA function for our software portfolio for asset lifecycle management, protection, and grid network modelling of electrical power infrastructure.This is a high-impact role that blends hands-on technical execution with cross-functional influence and long-term strategic leadership. You’ll own the QA strategy end-to-end, embedding QA into our software development lifecycle - so that customers can trust our products to manage their critical power infrastructure.It’s a unique opportunity to establish a modern, global QA capability for a global software portfolio. You’ll shape global QA standards, embed QA practices into our software development lifecycle, and work directly with product and engineering teams to deliver resilient, compliant, and scalable solutions.As Head of QA, you will partner with engineering, product, and cloud infrastructure teams to define and implement the structure, tooling, and processes needed to scale QA effectively to support IPS’ growth strategy. As the function matures, you will play a central role in shaping the QA function, implementing automation best practices, and promoting a continuous improvement culture. We are looking for someone with solid Azure experience, a practical mindset, and the ability to balance immediate delivery with long-term strategic thinking.Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership for QA across the entire product portfolioEstablish global best-practices for QA, across the entire IPS product portfolio.Partner with Engineering leads to implement consistent QA practices globally.Align QA initiatives with business goals, collaborating closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Executive Leadership.Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement in software development.Mentor and support team members and play a key role in hiring and onboarding future QA talent.Quality AssuranceDefine a modern QA strategy aligned with continuous integration and deployment goals.Integrate automated testing frameworks and best practices into the development lifecycle.Track QA performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Drive testing strategy from test automation to integration testing, and early customer validation.Key QualificationsStrong hands-on experience in QA processes and automation in Azure-based environments.Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor engineers, even in the absence of formal management initially.Experience with QA automation frameworks and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines.Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence without authority.Entrepreneurial, pragmatic, and solutions-focused mindset.Industry experience in energy, utilities, or industrial software is a plus, but not required.Why Join IPS?Lead a greenfield QA initiative and shape its growth globally.Be part of a purpose-driven, international company driving digital transformation in the energy sector.Work in a collaborative, flexible environment with strong growth prospects.If you’re a hands-on QA leader ready to streamline operations, scale secure practices, and build high-performing teams, we’d love to hear from you.
