Head of Sales and Distribution - Retail

Job Responsibilities1.Strategic Sales LeadershipDevelop and execute national and regional sales strategies.Set and monitor weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets.Align sales plans with overall business objectives.2. Distribution & Channel ManagementOversee distribution networks across general trade, modern trade, and e-commerce.Optimize route-to-market strategies and ensure product availability.Manage relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key accounts.3. Team Management & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and motivate sales teams across territories.Conduct training programs to enhance team capabilities.Set performance KPIs and review team achievements regularly.4. Sales Operations & AnalyticsMonitor sales performance using dashboards and analytics tools.Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities.Report on sales performance, opportunities, and risks to senior leadership.5. Product Launches & PromotionsCoordinate product launches and promotional campaigns.Ensure execution of merchandising and point-of-sale activities.Collaborate with marketing and supply chain teams for seamless rollout.Job Requirements: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in sales and distribution management.Strong expertise in strategic Leadership & market ExpansionExperienced in Sales Channel & Territory ManagementManaged modern trade, general trade, and e-commerce channels with tailored strategies for each.Developed grocer channel strategy to tap into underutilized high-potential outlets4.Ability to manage and drive sales team for achieving KPI and Career development.
