With 15 million monthly page views on our website and 600K social media followers, we provide readers with engaging local content spanning food, real estate, lifestyle, travel, breaking news, and more.We are seeking a full-time, on-site Head of Sales and Business Development in Mississauga, ON. This leadership role will oversee sales and business development activities, manage a high-performing sales team, and drive revenue growth for the company.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow the company’s customer base and expand regional reachLead, mentor, and manage the sales team, including recruitment, training, goal setting, and performance monitoringIdentify knowledge or skill gaps within the team and implement plans to address themConduct daily check-ins with the sales team to set objectives, track progress, and ensure quotas are metOversee month-end and year-end close processesPrepare and present sales, revenue, and expense reports, along with accurate forecasts, to senior managementIdentify emerging markets and trends and implement strategies to remain competitiveMaintain accurate CRM data (HubSpot) and ensure consistent use across the teamGenerate dashboards and reports using CRM and other data sources to monitor performanceRequired Skills and QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in a sales management roleDemonstrated track record as a sales executive in successfully selling digital advertising solutions and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets (display, sponsored content, social media, and video)Must be located in the Greater Toronto AreaExperience in digital publishing or digital advertising sales is a strong assetProficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred), Google Workspace, and Microsoft OfficeStrong understanding of social platforms: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedInStrong ability to drive the sales process from strategy and planning through to deal closureExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsDemonstrated leadership abilities and business acumenProven ability to mentor, coach, and develop sales teamsWillingness and ability to travel with sales executives as neededMedia planning and agency experienceBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field
