About RoleThe Head of Department is a member of the Senior School’s Middle Leadership Team and provides important support to the Senior School Leadership Team. The remit is wide, from a strong awareness of subject-related administrative and managerial micro-detail to a broader leadership understanding of the College’s overall vision and purpose; and how curriculum-specific aspects complement and contribute towards the organisation’s development and ambitions.The role of Head of Department is to be an adaptable and innovative leader, who consults on and establishes a professional direction for their responsibility areas; viewed as a genuine ambassador for their subject and the School. The Head of Department has overall responsibility for the leadership, development and ongoing review of the subject area for all Senior School students.
