ROLE SUMMARY:King’s School The Crown is built in extensive grounds offering world-class educational and sporting facilities, enabling students to pursue a diverse range of interests. Our purpose-Built Campus of over 40,000m2 located in the heart of Cairo's most prestigious gated community, The Crown, 6th October City. The school caters to students from 18 months up to 18 years with state-of-the-art facilities, including: a full football field, 400m athletic track , 25m 8 lane covered swimming pool with learner pool, indoor multi-purpose sports hall, outdoor multipurpose courts and a 522 seat Performing Arts theatre.We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Science to join King’s School The Crown, starting in August 2026. In this position you will manage a small team as well as your own teaching load. The successful candidate will able to deliver at least one Science subject up to A-level.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Excellence in Teaching and Learning: Plan and deliver inspiring, well-structured lessons that promote intellectual curiosity, creativity, and academic rigour. Ensure learning is appropriately differentiated to meet the diverse needs of pupils, enabling all to make exceptional progress in line with the school’s curriculum and standards. Assessment and Academic Progress: Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor, evaluate, and support pupil achievement. Provide timely, constructive feedback to foster improvement and a commitment to high standards in every learner. Promoting the King’s Ethos: Uphold and embody the values and ethos of King’s School The Crown, ensuring that pupils are nurtured in an environment that promotes integrity, respect, and a genuine love of learning. Professional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues across subjects and phases to share expertise, develop best practice, and contribute to a culture of professional growth and innovation. Contribution to School Life: Play an active role in the wider life of the school, including co-curricular and enrichment programmes. Support school events and initiatives that enhance the educational experience and strengthen the sense of community. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:A bacherlors degree and PGCE or B.Ed, or the equivalent teaching qualficationA minimum of 3 years post-qualification teaching experience, in the specialised subjectExperience delivering the UK curriculum, up to GCSE and Alevel Confidence with the use of ICT in teaching Enhanced disclosure from the DBS or equivalent High expectations and aspirations for all students A commitment to the overall development of young people An open-minded approach to their work, are willing to learn and develop A demonstrable love for what they do and a proven track recordSAFEGUARDING STATEMENTInspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment.
