Head of Software Quality Assurance (f/m/d)

A growing tech company in the medical software space helps development teams build secure and reliable applications by automating compliance and quality workflows. Seeking a leader to own the overall quality strategy and ensure each software release meets high standards for safety, reliability, performance, and compliance. The role includes managing a QA team, expanding automated test coverage, and collaborating closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps.Lead and develop the Quality Engineering teamPlan and coordinate verification & validation for software releasesScale automated testing with Playwright, TypeScript, and CucumberRepresent Quality Engineering across the organization and key stakeholdersOwn verification & validation activities end-to-endApply quality principles at scale and manage risksDefine and communicate key metrics for test automation and product qualityJob requirementsMore than 10 years in software quality, including 3 years in a management roleStrong QA methodology expertise and hands-on experience with automated testing (e.g., Playwright/Cypress)Familiarity with BDD (e.g., Cucumber)Experience building scalable testing processes in fast-growing environmentsLocation: ideally Vienna, willigness to move; existing Austrian work permit requiredMore than a jobCompetitive compensation package including bonus and stock optionsAttractive office perks, an annual public transport pass, company retreats, and regular team eventsOpportunity to take on a key leadership role within a growing scale-upA supportive, international team with strong team spiritFree in-office lunch as well as snacks and drinksThe gross annual salary starts at €100.000.
