Head of Structural Department - Sr. Structural Engineer (Egypt)

We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Structural Department-Senior Structural Engineer to lead our structural engineering team in Egypt. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing concrete structures (residential buildings, hotels, and high-rise structures) and steel structures. As a senior leader in our Structural Engineering Department, you will take on a pivotal role in driving design excellence, ensuring seamless project coordination, and contributing to the strategic growth of our consultancy.Responsibilities: Engineering Design and Review: • Lead the production and review of structural engineering designs, calculations, and specifications using advanced technical software. • Ensure designs meet client requirements, project goals, and applicable codes and standards. Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: • Collaborate with architects, engineers from other disciplines, and project teams to ensure structural designs align with architectural intent and overall project objectives. Technical Oversight: • Supervise and coordinate the preparation of detailed technical drawings and models. • Review and approve calculations, specifications, drawings, and reports prepared by team members, ensuring compliance with office standards and operational procedures. Documentation and Reporting: • Prepare high-quality technical reports in response to client briefs, summarizing findings, solutions, and recommendations. - Stakeholder Communication: • Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, architects, and manufacturers, to address technical queries and ensurStructurae seamless information exchange. Leadership and Mentorship: • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. • Promote innovation, sustainability, and cost-effective solutions in all structural engineering projects. Quality Assurance and Compliance: • Conduct thorough checks and reviews of all project deliverables to maintain quality and adhere to regulatory standards. Qualifications: - A minimum of 14 years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record in designing concrete and steel structures. - Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus). - Expertise in using structural analysis and design software, such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, and Prokon. - Strong knowledge of international design codes and standards (e.g., ACI, Eurocode, BS, ASCE). - Exceptional leadership and project management skills. - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
