Head of Supply Chain Management

Position: Group Head – Supply Chain (GHSC)Location: Bengaluru/ChennaiRole Overview:We’re looking for an accomplished supply chain leader with 20+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, and vendor management across diverse categories. The role is responsible for driving strategic purchasing initiatives, supplier partnerships, and cost optimization across the group.Key Responsibilities:Lead and execute strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives across all business units.Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers to achieve optimal cost, quality, and delivery outcomes.Finalize and manage contracts for procurement and services across multiple categories (Projects, IT, Lubricants, Tyres, Paint, Consumables, Admin & HR).Conduct techno-commercial evaluations of bids and proposals for major procurements.Drive cost reduction and value engineering programs through data-driven analysis.Approve purchase orders and ensure timely and quality delivery of goods and services.Review, renegotiate, and maintain long-term supplier and vendor agreements.Implement and enhance vendor management programs to ensure compliance and performance.Desired Candidate Profile:Graduate/post-graduate, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.20+ years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain functions, with minimum 3 years in a leadership role.Strong understanding of sourcing techniques, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation.Proven experience in category management and group-level cost optimization.Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.Proficient in MS Office Suite and familiar with modern SCM tools and ERP systems.Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and strategic alignment.
