This individual will be responsible for defining and executing the firm’s trading vision, ensuring disciplined risk management, robust performance tracking, and alignment with the CEO’s strategic objectives.The ideal candidate combines deep multi-asset trading experience with strong IT and coding skills, capable of bridging trading, quantitative research, and infrastructure teams. The role also includes direct supervision of Portfolio Managers (PMs) and active collaboration with the Risk, Technology, and Operations departments to drive performance, transparency, and efficiency across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership• Define, implement, and oversee MA Capital’s global multi-asset trading strategy across Futures, Options, Equities, FX, Fixed Income, and Commodities.• Advise the CEO on market trends, trading opportunities, and macro/micro positioning.• Translate market developments into actionable portfolio adjustments and tactical trades.• Establish performance and reporting frameworks to measure and monitor PM and desk-level results.• Identify new trading opportunities, markets, and strategies aligned with firm objectives.Management of Trading Teams• Supervise all PMs and trading desks, ensuring adherence to strategy, risk limits, and performance targets.• Conduct regular reviews of strategy performance, capital allocation, and risk exposure.• Mentor traders and develop junior talent to ensure long-term growth and sustainability.• Coordinate collaboration between trading, risk, research, and infrastructure teams.• Participate in recruitment and evaluation of new traders and quantitative researchers.Technology & Infrastructure Collaborate with internal IT and Infrastructure teams to enhance the firm’s MACH trading platform.• Oversee integration of execution systems, risk servers, data lakes, and monitoring tools.• Leverage programming skills (Python, C++, SQL) to support quantitative analysis, strategy back-testing, and performance diagnostics.• Evaluate external vendors, APIs, and connectivity solutions (CME, CBOE, ICE, etc.) for optimal execution and latency performance.• Drive automation and the adoption of data-driven tools to improve decision-making.Risk & Compliance• Monitor real-time risk and PnL across all desks and strategies.• Enforce risk limits, stop-loss procedures, and drawdown thresholds.• Ensure compliance with internal policies, exchange memberships, and regulatory requirements in all jurisdictions.• Lead post-trade analysis and reviews of performance deviations or rule breaches.• Cooperate with Compliance and Operations on trade reporting and audit readiness.Reporting & Communication• Deliver consolidated daily, weekly, and monthly reports on trading performance, risk, and market commentary to the CEO.• Present market outlooks and desk performance in executive and board-level meetings.• Act as the communication bridge between PMs, IT, risk, and management teams.• Support the CEO in investor or partner communications on trading-related matters when required.Qualifications & SkillsRequired• Minimum 10 years of trading experience across multiple asset classes (Futures, Options, Equities, FX, or Fixed Income).• Proven leadership experience managing PMs or multi-desk structures.• Strong understanding of market microstructure, exchange connectivity, and execution models.• Advanced analytical and coding capabilities (Python, C++, SQL, or similar).• Deep knowledge of risk management principles and quantitative trading methodologies.• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex market ideas to both technical and executive audiences.• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.* Language proficiency: English - native or working proficiency, German - native or working proficiency.Preferred• Experience in both discretionary and systematic trading environments.• Familiarity with CME, CBOE, ICE, or other exchange membership structures.• Prior work with colocation and low-latency execution environments.• Exposure to FPGA or hardware-accelerated trading systems.Personal Attributes• Strategic thinker with exceptional market intuition and strong quantitative reasoning.• Technically curious and hands-on; able to bridge trading, quant, and IT perspectives.• Resilient under pressure with sound judgment in volatile environments.• High integrity, strong sense of ownership, and alignment with MA Capital’s performance-driven culture.• Excellent team leadership and mentoring capabilities.Why join us?Professional Development: Opportunities to grow cutting-edge technology and infrastructure to advance your career.Startup Environment: Agile and entrepreneurial setup, allowing for flexibility and rapid decision-making.Flexible Working Options: Hybrid schedule and ability to work from our offices in Zug, Switzerland.Efficient Infrastructure: Proprietary platform for systematic trading with plug-and-play access to major global exchanges.
