We are driven by passion and uphold values of accountability, courage, collaboration, integrity, and service.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Lugano for a Senior Associate – River Cruise Operations within the Avalon Waterways department.The position provides essential support to the Operations Manager in coordinating activities and ensuring smooth team workflows. The role focuses on organizational tasks, team assistance, and operational follow-up to guarantee high service standards throughout the cruise experience.You will act as a key point of reference for internal teams and external partners, helping maintain efficiency and consistency in day-to-day operations.Main ResponsibilitiesSupport the Operations Manager in planning and coordinating team activities Assist with scheduling, workload distribution, and monitoring progress on operational tasksFacilitate communication between internal departments, onboard staff, and external suppliersEnsure timely updates and accurate documentation for services related to river cruises Help resolve operational issues and provide guidance to team members when needed Manage and coordinate responses to operational disruptions or emergencies (e.g., high/low water levels, itinerary changes, etc.), ensuring clear communication and team alignmentContribute to maintaining brand standards and delivering a seamless guest experience, also during crisis or incidentsCollaborate on process improvements, work with Managers from other departments on shared projects and system enhancements, and promote best practices within the teamRequirements:Excellent command of English, both written and spokenProficient in MS Office toolsStrong attention to detail and accuracyKnowledge of travel operationsGood geographical knowledge of major European rivers and citiesEffective time management, prioritization, and multitasking skillsAbility to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitudeFlexibility and adaptabilityOpen Minded approachStrong communication skillsTeam leadership capabilitiesEmotional intelligenceConflict management skills
