Accurately control and process financial information and prepare financial reports and analysis to enable business processes in respect of reinsurance accounting.Disclaimer As an applicant, please verify the legitimacy of this job advert on our company career page.Role PurposeAccurately control and process financial information and prepare financial reports and analysis to enable business processes in respect of reinsurance accounting.RequirementsAt least 7 – 10 years experience in accounting and or investmentsAt least 3 - 5 years management experienceAt least 3 years Insurance experienceDegree in Financial Management or AccountingCA / CFA / ACCA / CIMA (advantageous) Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversight of reinsurance financial management across the non-life licenseOversight of internal risk sharing financial management and contribute to the implementation of risk sharing strategyOverall reinsurance system and process owner including reinsurance accounting policies, associated adminContribute to IFRS 17 requirements for reinsuranceManage the various audits including external reinsurer, internal and financial auditsManage reporting to internal and external stakeholders: reinsurance accounting, large loss, cash call and/ together with the Reinsurance Accounting ManagerManage reinsurer debtor and creditors control effectivelyAttend and contribute to client service and other meetingsProvide authoritative expertise and advice to external clients and internal stakeholdersBuild and maintain relationships with external clients and internal stakeholdersDeliver on service level agreements made with internal and external stakeholders and clientsMake recommendations to improve client service within area of responsibilityParticipate and contribute to a culture which build rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client serviceDevelop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers and stakeholdersPositively influence and participate in change initiativesContinuously develop own expertise in terms of professional, industry and legislation knowledgeContribute to continuous innovation through the development, sharing and implementation of new ideasTake ownership for driving career developmentCompetenciesBusiness AcumenCollaborationClient/Stakeholder CommitmentImpact and InfluenceSelf-Awareness and InsightDrive for ResultsLeads Change and InnovationDiversity and InclusivenessEnquiries yadir.parusram@guardrisk.co.za
