Health and Safety Manager - Monaghan I am currently supporting a leading organisation within the food and manufacturing sector who are seeking a Health and Safety Manager for their Monaghan site. This is a key role that reports directly to the Site Manager and focuses on developing, implementing and maintaining strong Health and Safety systems across the facility.About the Role The Health and Safety Manager will take full responsibility for safety management systems on site. You will provide guidance and support to Business Unit Managers, ensure alignment with group safety strategy and lead continuous improvement across all health and safety practices. Collaboration with group H&S support services and regulatory bodies will also be central to this role.Key ResponsibilitiesRecord and investigate all accidents on site, track trends and prepare reports for Business Unit ManagersDrive the ongoing development and implementation of Health and Safety policies and proceduresDeliver in house training to managers and staffEnsure effective enforcement of Health and Safety practices across all departmentsDevelop training plans and budgets in partnership with the Site ManagerEngage proactively with safety personnel and support Risk Management teamsChair Site Safety meetings and provide updates on safety developmentsEnsure all personnel are fully trained and competent in required safety practicesUndertake risk assessments and support managers in completing assessments for site operationsReview all risk assessments regularlyImplement internal audit processes at site level, track performance and action plansPrepare a monthly written safety report for the Site Manager and H&S teamCarry out unscheduled safety audits to ensure compliance with Group policyIdentify and report breaches of safety policy to site and group leadershipLiaise with the HSA and external agencies in relation to reporting, auditing and compliance recommendationsRequirementsMinimum of 2 years Health and Safety experience, ideally in a food or manufacturing environmentH&S Degree or DiplomaExperience in delivering training is an advantageStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and take ownership of safety performance across a busy siteThe Next Step for YouIf this position is of interest to you, please submit your CV to Jessica from Next Generation Recruitment using the apply button.Next Generation will never share your data outside of our organisation without your prior written consent.Please read our Data Protection Policy on our website.If you require any reasonable accommodations during the recruitment process, please let us know and we will do our best to support you.
