You’ll conduct site inspections, deliver training, and work closely with superintendents and field workers to build and maintain a strong culture of safety.This is a hands‑on role:50% field work – outdoors in varying weather, walking on uneven terrain, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs50% administrative work – on‑site documentation, reporting, and safety planningKey ResponsibilitiesConduct site safety inspections and hazard assessmentsLead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and on‑site safety orientationsSupport modified duties/return‑to‑work programsRecommend and help implement corrective actionsAssist with crane lift and fall protection planningMaintain compliance with emergency response planningLead and document incident investigations in line with WorkSafeBC timelinesDevelop safe work practices and job proceduresKeep accurate safety statistics and assist with COR auditsVerify operator certifications and equipment inspection logsProvide coaching to supervisors on safety legislation and company proceduresConduct internal safety training where qualifiedAttend project and client safety meetings as requiredQualificationsPreferred: NCSO designation (equivalencies considered)Minimum 2 years of experience in a field safety role, ideally in commercial constructionCSTS 2020 certificationFirst Aid certificationApplication ProcessWe thank all applicants for their interest.
