HSE Engineer (Germany)Location: GermanyGerman and English requiredA growing EPC/OEM delivering major energy and infrastructure projects across Europe is strengthening its HSE capability in Germany. To support this development, we are seeking an HSE Engineer with a strong office-based focus to help drive safety governance, compliance and reporting across the organisation.Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will support the development and coordination of HSE systems, policies and procedures, ensuring that project teams, subcontractors and internal departments operate in line with regulatory and corporate requirements. This role is primarily office-based, with limited travel as needed to support audits, stakeholder meetings or specific project milestones.This position offers strong visibility, cross-functional collaboration and excellent long-term progression opportunities as the regional organisation expands.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and maintenance of HSE documentation, policies and procedural frameworksCoordinate HSE requirements between project teams, subcontractors and internal departmentsAssist with regulatory compliance activities, ensuring records, permits and certifications remain up to dateSupport internal HSE reporting, KPI tracking and management presentationsHelp coordinate risk assessments, method statements and HSE planning documentationAssist with incident reporting, root-cause analysis and follow-up actions, primarily from the officeContribute to the planning and delivery of HSE training, inductions and communication materialsMaintain accurate databases, documentation systems and audit recordsProvide support during internal and external HSE audits, with occasional site presence where requiredCandidate ProfileDegree in safety engineering, environmental engineering, occupational safety or a related fieldExperience in HSE roles within EPC, construction, manufacturing, transmission or energy sectorsStrong understanding of applicable HSE regulations, standards and documentation requirementsOrganised, analytical and comfortable managing documentation and compliance processesProfessional German and EnglishStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholdersKnowledge of risk assessment tools, auditing processes and incident investigation methodologiesWhy joinThis is a foundational opportunity to help shape HSE systems and processes within a fast-growing European organisation.
