You’ll often find avid conversations happening in the café. It’s a great place for an ice-cream in summer too. The Trading Post is not the only place where residents call the shots. At Huntleigh Home residents also have plenty of input and direction when it comes to the recreation programme, visiting entertainers, the menu… the residents of Huntleigh Home even designed and had their very own flag made!Mō te tūranga - About the roleWe are looking for multiple Healthcare Assistants, with roles working 24 hours per week, 30 hours per week so please get in touch as we may have the hours that work for you!As a Health Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to our residents in their daily living and social requirements. You will also encourage residents to maintain their independence and make decisions for themselves.Your Key Responsibilities Will BeDeliver the highest standard of personalised care to every Resident Support and encourage residents to maintain their independence and make decisions for themselves Assist and support the activities of daily living in a way that meets the Eden principles and the Domains of Wellbeing Working under the supervision and direction of the RN.Ensure resident’s needs are attended to effectively and in a timely manner Mō koe - About YouSkillsAs well as a passion for the wellbeing of older people, you will be enthusiastic but patient and well organised with great interpersonal skills. You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect.
