Business Controlling Manager – Switzerland (m/w/x) Role Description & QualificationsAs a Business Controlling Manager in Switzerland, you will act as a strategic partner to senior management, providing financial insights, analysis, and guidance that support sound decision-making and sustainable business growth. This role focuses on aligning financial performance with strategic objectives, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring transparent, data-driven management reporting.The Business Controlling Manager bridges finance and operations, translating complex financial data into actionable strategies. You will lead budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide recommendations that enhance profitability and cost efficiency. This position requires both technical expertise and strategic acumen, as well as the ability to communicate effectively across different business functions.Key Responsibilities:Lead and coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.Analyze financial performance, identify trends and variances, and develop actionable recommendations.Prepare and present management reports, dashboards, and performance reviews for decision-makers.Partner with business units to ensure alignment between operational initiatives and financial goals.Conduct cost analysis, margin optimization, and scenario planning to improve business outcomes.Ensure compliance with Swiss accounting standards, IFRS, and internal corporate policies.Drive process improvements and enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support investment cases, business reviews, and strategic projects.Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to controlling and finance team members.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics; professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CMA) are a plus.Strong expertise in financial controlling, management reporting, budgeting, and performance analysis.Proficiency in ERP and business intelligence systems (e.g., SAP, Power BI, Hyperion) and advanced Excel skills.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking abilities.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.Deep understanding of Swiss GAAP, IFRS, and local financial regulations.Strategic mindset with attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.Fluency in English is required; German and/or French language skills are highly valued.This position is ideal for professionals who combine analytical precision with strategic thinking.
