Job OverviewProvide project-related support and assistance for assigned clinical project(s) and project teams, operating with minimal supervision. The projects supported are typically larger in scope and complexity than those handled by more junior staff. The role ensures all work is conducted in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), internal policies, good clinical practices (GCP), applicable regulatory requirements, and meets agreed-upon quality and timeline metrics.Essential FunctionsEstablish and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including all files, records, and reports, ensuring alignment with the project's scope of work and standard operating procedures.Assist with the periodic review and audit of project files to ensure accuracy and completeness.Coordinate and track all project information, communications, documents, materials, and supplies for assigned projects.Update and maintain internal systems, databases, tracking tools, timelines, and project plans with current project-specific information.Identify and escalate any discrepancies in project tracking data, timesheet coding, expense reporting, or financial figures that may indicate out-of-scope activities.Prepare and distribute status, tracking, and project financial reports; assist project manager(s) with budget allocation and the invoice approval process.Prepare presentation materials for internal and external meetings and compile project summary data.Coordinate project team and customer meetings, including managing logistics and preparing required materials.Collaborate with other project support staff within and across units to identify and standardize support processes.Serve as the primary backup contact for the internal project team and for external stakeholders/customers, as designated by the project manager.Undertake specific project management activities as directed by the project manager.Provide training and mentorship to more junior project support staff.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in life sciences or a related field is required.Typically requires 0-2 years of prior relevant experience.Foundational knowledge of the principles, theories, and concepts of the job area, typically obtained through advanced education.Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (approximately 1 year) will be considered.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Good problem-solving abilities.A results and detail-oriented approach to work delivery and output.Good planning, time management, and prioritization skills.Proficiency with software and computer applications, including the Microsoft Office suite.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients
