About The Job Vehicle Ergonomics EngineerOur client blends a rich automotive heritage with groundbreaking innovation in electric vehicle technology. ResponsibilitiesDevelop robust, standardized ergonomic requirements for a variety of vehicles. Collaborate closely with Design and Engineering teams to ensure delivery of optimal ergonomic solutions, challenging assumptions where necessary. Evaluate CAD models and physical prototypes to validate ergonomic targets. Design and manage the development of ergonomic bucks and tools to support the evaluation process.
Support the Head of Department in defining long-term strategies for ergonomic improvements. Assist in assessment events with senior leadership to showcase ergonomic progress and challenges. Lead the delivery of cutting-edge ergonomic solutions for future vehicle programs. Conduct competitor benchmarking to identify trends and maintain a state-of-the-art understanding. Research and assess new technologies that impact ergonomics and user experience. Provide guidance and strategies for improving the ergonomic development process. Deliver detailed specification documents and test reports. Plan, organize, and execute ergonomic testing and validation activities. RequirementsProven expertise in vehicle ergonomics, preferably within a high-performance or luxury automotive context.
Strong experience in the use of CAD systems (ideally 3DX) to develop and assess ergonomic attributes. In-depth understanding of legal and regulatory requirements relating to vehicle ergonomics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong interpersonal abilities and conflict resolution skills. Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a structured approach to issue resolution. Demonstrated teamworking attitude and collaborative mindset.
