Data Conversion DeveloperLocation: 100% remote – EST hours will be worked Top 3 requirements: 1 role needs to have epic bridges certHealthcare data conversionSQL, Python, HL7Fundamental knowledge of Epic Identity Position SummaryThe Data Conversion Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and executing data conversion processes to migrate patient identity and demographic data from legacy systems into Epic. This role ensures data integrity, accuracy, and compliance throughout the conversion lifecycle, supporting a seamless transition for clinical and operational workflows. Key ResponsibilitiesData Analysis & MappingAnalyze legacy system data structures and map them to Epic Identity requirements.Collaborate with operational and IT teams to define data conversion scope and specifications.Development & ExecutionDevelop scripts and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data into Epic.Create SQL queries and conversion programs to standardize and validate data.Testing & ValidationPerform rigorous testing of converted data to ensure accuracy and completeness.Work with clinicians and end-users to validate patient identity data in Epic.Troubleshooting & SupportIdentify and resolve data inconsistencies or errors during conversion.Provide technical support during go-live and post-conversion phases.Documentation & ComplianceMaintain detailed documentation of conversion processes and data mapping.Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational data security standards. Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.3+ years of experience in data conversion or migration projects, preferably in healthcare.Fundamental understanding of Epic IdentityProficiency in SQL, scripting languages (Python, PowerShell), and ETL tools.Strong understanding of patient identity management and healthcare data standards.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred QualificationsExperience with Epic implementation projects.Epic Identity CertificationFamiliarity with HL7 standards and healthcare interoperability.Knowledge of data governance and master patient index (MPI) concepts. Core CompetenciesAttention to detail and commitment to data integrity.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
