Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to contribute to multiple projects that advance the agency’s mission of improving outcomes for Texas students. A primary focus of this role will be the Early Childhood Integrated Data System Project. The ideal candidate will combine strong business analysis expertise with user experience (UX) design skills to deliver efficient, intuitive, and impactful solutions. The BA will serve as the key liaison between program stakeholders and the software development team, ensuring that requirements are clearly defined, well-documented, and effectively implemented.
This role spans the full software development life cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to post-implementation enhancements. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct interviews and workshops with stakeholders to elicit business and functional requirements. Document and refine system requirements, ensuring clarity, completeness, and alignment with project goals. Develop user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria that adhere to business analysis best practices. Collaborate with product teams, developers, and UX designers to create wireframes and mockups following agency and industry standards. Apply business process re-engineering and software process improvement techniques to enhance operational efficiency.
Ensure design solutions are informed by user research and grounded in best practices for user experience. Facilitate meetings to resolve requirements-related issues and ensure alignment among project stakeholders. Participate in testing and validation to ensure all requirements are met. Support ongoing enhancements and requirements management post-implementation.
