Granger School District No. 204Job DescriptionJOB TITLE: Home Liaison/Migrant Recruiter2025-2026 School Year OnlyQUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent, personal transportation, valid Washington State driver's license, driver's liability insurance (Washington State minimum), experience working with migrant families, bilingual/biliterate in English/Spanish.Successfully pass background check, including criminal history.REPORTS TO: Federal Programs and Assessment DirectorJOB GOAL: To conduct interviews to determine the eligibility of and recruit migrant children into educational programs.Performance ResponsibilitiesActively identify and recruit all eligible migrant children residing in the school district from 0 through 21 years of This includes, for example, surveying the area, establishing communication networks, establishing work relations with other community agency personnel, employers and social services.Complete, distribute and maintain a Certificate of Eligibility according to state/federal guidelines for each eligible migrant family immediately upon their arrival in the school district (regardless of whether students are in school or not).Promote activities between students, parents, educators and communities and assist schools and parents to organize an active Parent Advisory Committee (PAC).Provide direct services to Migrant eligible students in classrooms and one-on-one basis.Establish and maintain collaborative professional relationships with others.Engage in professional learning and implement strategies to support the learning needs of multilingual learners.Assist in maintaining high standards of student behavior aligned with school-wide expectations, following the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework.Participate in district-wide improvement efforts/district initiatives.Work to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students, parents and colleagues concerning both academic and behavioral progress of students.Share with migrant parents and students all school services/programs available to This includes the instructional program, MSRS, accident insurance program, physical exams and alternative educational programs.Prepare a list, when applicable, of migrant dropout students to be placed on file at the Local Education Agency (LEA).Refer migrant families to appropriate health, social or legal services in order to meet the needs of the migrant student's successful participation in school.Prepare documentation such as a home visitor log, which reflects major home visitorShare information on the eligibility of migrant families with preschool programs whereNetwork with other agencies providing services to migrant students to ensure a coordinated service delivery system.Recruit out-of-school students into educationalProvide assistance as a liaison between the home and schoolInteract with school district personnel, growers, social service organizations staff and the generalAbility to work nights and weekends asAbility to initiate and perform job duties with minimalMaintain strict confidentiality.Other job related duties as assigned.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENTLENGTH: 2025-2026 School Year Only- 190 contract days (includes 10 paid holidays)SCHEDULE: Hours to be determined by the Federal Programs and Assessment Director.
