Our team drives our success, and our employees are our key asset. Our supply chain team continues to expand which drives the need for an ambitious procurement specialist to join us. This role provides scope to grow and develop our procurement discipline and procurement value roadmap through optimised supplier management, risk mitigation, standardised procedures and supporting the development of our supply chain. Key responsibilities include:

The primary responsibilities will include the enhancement, monitoring, reengineering and reporting of procurement models towards providing procurement value to the business. The role demands the proactive identification of procurement risk, opportunities for enhanced working capital management, which developing measurements for enhanced value. The implementation of internal guidelines, monitoring of adherence, and support of Horseware client relationships are key to the success of this role. The role will be broad and includes a wide range of activities as outlined below:

Govern the supplier qualification process in compliance with procurement policies and processesOptimise supplier validation, engagement, onboarding and management processesMonitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to assess compliance with contractual obligationsLead quotation and tender activitiesCo-ordinate and drive contract negotiation with suppliersDevelopment, analysis and reporting of supplier management metrics at both detailed and MI levelsMaintain a central repository for key performance, contractual and financial documentation Develop innovative approach to identifying vendor and process risk, and support mitigation activities to protect Horseware from potential liabilitiesIndirect material sourcing and procurement, ensuring accuracy and contract adherenceComplete material and service analysis, validating activity and supporting variance reconciliationTracking of service and cost procurement KPIs and drive continuous improvement activitiesProvide ongoing support and updates to the Head of Supply ChainConstruct reports and dashboard views for the Senior Management teamAbout You:

CIPS training preferred, with a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in procurementQualification in procurement or finance desiredExperience driving procurement model change within supply chain is a distinct advantageCommunication, negotiation and interpersonal skills are essentialHigh degree of numeracy with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlinesAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
