Gradwell Park retirement village based in South Chailey, is on the lookout for a Housekeeper to work a zero hour contract. This is a Bank Position as and when work arises - covering sickness and holidays.Are you passionate about creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!As a Housekeeper at our retirement village, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of our residents' homes and communal areas.Your responsibilities will include:Performing regular cleaning tasks in residents' apartments, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfacesTo always provide the highest standards of cleanliness and serviceKeeping communal areas such as lounges, dining areas, and hallways clean and presentableTo foster and maintain good relationships with the ResidentsTo report any faulty or damaged equipment, laundry, or machinery to the Housekeeping SupervisorTo undertake the washing and ironing of bedding, table linen, towels and garments as instructed. Ensuring that all washing and ironing instructions are adhered toUpholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the villageTo use the correct cleaning products and equipment/appliances as instructed by the manufacturersTo ensure the provision of a safe environment for Residents, staff, and visitorsTo comply with all legislative requirements and local and Companywide policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety at WorkQualifications and Skills:Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in a residential or hospitality settingStrong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and independentlyExcellent communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanourSensitivity to the needs and preferences of older adultsWillingness to undergo background checks and relevant trainingBenefits:MedicashBirthday's OffLife AssuranceVolunteering DaysAccess to training and development opportunities to enhance your skillsPlus much more!
