Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Regularly clean accommodation facility floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming thoroughly. Gather and empty trash regularly and disposing properly. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Monitor accommodation security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are eliminated. Notify supervisors and managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to accommodation’s fixtures, furnitures, etc. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Stock common consumables provided by the company within the accommodation facilities, offices, common areas. Regularly inspect and clean common ablution facilities, common areas within the camps such as recreation area, meeting rooms, offices, etc. Ensure personal property of occupants, guests are kept in order and safe. To follow, apply and maintain all applicable ISO standards and requirements. Report health & safety, environmental, and food safety hazards and near miss/incident observed in the workplace to ensure a safe and healthy working environment. REGULAR EXTERNAL CONTACTS:Guests staying in the accommodation. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:High School or school leaving certificateYEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE WITH MINIMUM EDUCATION REQ'T:1 - 2 years' experience in a similar roleSYSTEMS/ EQUIPMENT OPERATION KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge of operating common cleaning equipment/ appliance. TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ PROFESSIONAL TRAINING REQUIRED:Basic health and safety knowledge, HACCP awareness for hygiene complianceOTHER REQUIREMENTS:Physiologically fit to work in remote site locationsCan lift without aid 25kgsBasic English language skillsAdvantage if knowledgeable of country languageCan fill in simple reports such as cleaning report logCOMPETENCIES:Attention to detailTime ManagementPlanning & OrganizingCommunicationCustomer Service OrientationIntegrity, Honest
