Full Job DescriptionJob descriptionGeneral PurposeEnsure hotel rooms are clean inside and out by the high standard set by the company. The position involves a fast pace; effective time management skills and efficiency to help the company move forward. Friendly, motivated customer service-oriented individuals are encouraged to apply. The position involves attention to detail and great sense of accomplishment for doing a great job. Our goal is to ensure our guests feel a WOW factor when stepping into our hotel.ResponsibilitiesSweep, mop, wash, wax and polish floorsDust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furnitureClean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliancesMake beds, change linen, and distribute clean towels and toiletriesWash windows, walls and ceilingsPick up debris and empty trash containersReplenish amenities supplies upon request from guestsReport and store lost and found itemsClean public areas as required (such as elevators)Ensure furniture in the rooms is properly placedMay talk with guests to provide basic information on facilities and the Corner Brook areaMay handle minor complaints, and refer to Supervisor as requiredSort, wash, load and unload laundryStock linen closet and supplies areaQualificationsExceptional attention to detailPhysical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, bend and liftAbility to communicate with guests; ability to read, write and speak EnglishAbility to accept directionAbility to work with minimal supervisionJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $17.00 per hourBenefitsExtended health careLife insuranceWork Location: In person
