Position DescriptionHR Business Partners deliver a range of HR services and support to the business. They advise, coach and support management teams on people-related initiatives and issues.They also have responsibility as the “Business Lead” for a specific HR area such as Strategic Resource Planning, Performance & Development, or Succession Management etc.The HR Business Partner role in ESB Networks is a senior position within the ESB Networks HR team; the incumbent is expected to coach and support junior colleagues, creating a culture of shared learning and excellent service delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the implementation of the HR strategy, identifying the people-related priorities and requirements to facilitate the delivery of business objectives.Deliver HR services to the business across a range of areas such as resourcing, performance & staff development, succession planning, and attendance management.Support the implementation of Group-wide HR initiatives within ESB Networks.Act as a coach to guide and mentor managers in resolving employee issues.Provide a professional level of service on all HR matters to managers and staff.Ensure that all policies, guidelines, and procedures are in compliance with relevant legislation and with best practice HR.Play a key role as the liaison between HR Centres of Excellence, People Operations and Networks HR team, nurturing positive relationships with key stakeholders to deliver people initiatives and service improvements.Support organisational change initiatives/projects and facilitate a high performing organisational culture through effective people management and development.EssentialExperience and QualificationsMinimum 7+ years’ relevant work experience.Background in HR and knowledge of HR Practice, Policies and ProceduresStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Excellent influencing and presentation skills.Ability to build and develop relationships with managers and stakeholders.Attention to detail, with superb analytical and problem-solving skills.Self-starter, with ability to work independently.DesirablePrior experience as a HR Business Partner.LocationDublin & Flexible.ESB is committed to smart working – combining digital tools with a culture of trust and empowerment to enable flexible ways of working.The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week.
