Title: HR & Compliance Business PartnerReports to: Executive DirectorRole summary:Individual contributor role to run strategic and hands-on operational HR independently, while ensuring compliance with Malaysian labor laws, safety regulations, and industry-specific certifications (e.g., Halal, JKKP). This role partners with business leaders to manage people, mitigate risks, and align HR practices with organizational goals.Key responsibilities:1) Human ResourcesManage end-to-end HR processes: recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, employee relations, exit management.Support workforce planning and foreign worker permit management.Partner with Corporate HR to implement training and development programs, drive engagement and retention initiatives.2) Compliance & GovernanceEnsure compliance with Malaysian employment law, Industrial Relations Act, and other statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF).Oversee workplace safety and health compliance (JKKP/DOSH).Support Halal certification requirements and liaise with JAKIM or other relevant authorities.Conduct internal compliance audits and prepare for external inspections.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Law, or related field.3+ years of HR experience, with exposure to compliance or legal matters preferred.Knowledge of Malaysian labor law, foreign worker regulations, and HR best practices.Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or food industry is an added advantage.Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence and advise management.Resourcefulness, able to organise tasks effectively and execute independently.Languages: Malay, English, proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
