We are a fast-growing jewellery retail and e-commerce brand operating in Canada and in the U.S. Currently we are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with strong multi-province employment law knowledge and familiarity with U.S. employment considerations as we continue our growth.About the RoleThis role supports the full HR function in a scaling retail environment. You will lead core HR administration, be involved with recruiting and onboarding, support payroll and compliance, and help build processes that strengthen our organizational foundation.ResponsibilitiesSupport end-to-end recruitment for retail and corporate rolesConduct early informational interviews in some hiring pathwaysPrepare interview questions and decision matrixes, offer letters, employment agreements, and onboarding documentation in conjunction with other team leadsMaintain employee files, HR systems, and compliance recordsVerify timekeeping and support payroll preparation through various appsTrain and guide managers on employment law and best practices and industry benchmarksAdvise on employment standards across Canadian provinces and monitor/research U.S. compliance needs as neededAssist with creation and maintenance of performance documentation and employee relations mattersContribute to policy development, handbooks, training materials, and compliance programsSupport health and safety programs, legislative requirements and health insurance benefits managementQualifications5+ years HR experience in retail or high-growth environmentsUniversity degree and CHRP/CHRL or equivalent designation in progress or completed (preferred)Strong knowledge of Canadian employment standards across provincesFamiliarity with U.S. employment considerations an assetExperience supporting payroll cycles and HRIS administrationHigh attention to detail, strong documentation and organizational skillsAbility to support employees across retail, fulfillment, and corporate functionsYou AreConfident managing day-to-day HR tasks and scaling HR processesComfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-location fashion retail cultureProfessional, confidential, and strong with follow-throughA problem-solver who sees around corners and builds structureSomeone who possesses excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skillsWhat We OfferKey role in building HR foundations during a high-growth phaseOpportunities for development and expanded responsibilities as we scaleCollaborative, fashion-driven, entrepreneurial environment in the heart of YorkvilleAbout Us:Lisa Gozlan started her namesake brand out of the desire to find jewelry pieces that she could style both on herself and her clients without compromising style or quality.
