We produce high quality, tailored hygiene product ranges for washrooms - across all sectors and industries where our customers look to us for our knowledge and integrity.We have central support functions of Human Resources, IT, Finance, Legal and Marketing & Innovation in the Rentokil Initial Head Office locations and in country.An opportunity has opened up for an HR and Health & Safety Assistant within our operations in Tanzania, specifically in Dar es Salaam. You will provide support to the business located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.RequirementsThe position delivers technical and administrative HR services across functions such as Recruitment, Training, Employee Relations, HR Information Management, and Health & Safety. Key responsibilities include:Your Daily Responsibilities Will IncludeRecruitment and Staffing: Manage job application databases and facilitate candidate sourcing.File New Employee Requisition Forms and assist with candidate shortlisting and interviews.Conduct background checks and collaborate on induction programs for new hires.HR Records and Database Management: Maintain an electronic employee database and ensure accuracy through quarterly reviews.Update personal files and organize documentation systematically.Collaborate on training records and coordinate training programs.Employee Relations: Document employee grievances, manage disciplinary procedures, and compile monthly reports.Assist in conflict resolution and manage the employee exit process.HR Administration and Payroll Support: Assist in insurance reporting, payroll preparation, and leave tracking.Update company noticeboards and coordinate in-house training sessions.Engagement and Welfare: Oversee staff welfare initiatives and coordinate employee engagement surveys.Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and respond to incidents.Promote SHE programs and conduct training with oversight from the SHE Officer.Additional ad-hoc responsibilities as needed.Qualifications: A degree in Human Resources or a related field.Understanding of labor laws and proficiency in English and Kiswahili.3+ years of relevant experience, particularly in employee relations and recruitment.Strong problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.Demonstrated integrity, teamwork, and self-motivation.BenefitsJoin Us!Opportunity for GrowthEmployment EquityRentokil Initial supports equal opportunities and embraces workplace diversity, creating an inclusive environment for all employees.If you enjoy providing valuable professional services to your community and believe you're a good fit, apply for the role today!Monthly Gross Consolidated SalaryPension: To be arranged after confirmation Group Life Assurance Cover: To be arranged after confirmationWIBA Cover: Applicable immediately upon joiningWorking Hours -All weekdays 8.00 am - 5.00 pm, Saturdays 8.00 am - 12.00 pm (with Alternate Leaves: 28 days paid annual leave, Paternity/maternity leave, Sickoff and compassionate leaveWorking material: airtime loaded phone, a laptop and any other items needed to make your work easyWork-Related Training: monthly Route 1 training and U+ training free courses Employees assistant program ( ICAS)
