📌 Job Title: HSE Adviser – Substation Projects 📍 Location: East Lothian (site-based with some travel required) 📅 Start Date: January 2026 ⏳ Duration: Approx. 5 months (Working full time day shifts for the duration of this project)   💷 Pay: £450–£500 per day PAYE (DOE) About the Role: We are seeking an experienced HSE Adviser to support multiple substation installation projects across East Lothian. This is a site-based role requiring strong safety leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work across several project sites. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards, supporting construction teams, and promoting a positive HSE culture throughout the project lifecycle. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide on-site HSE support across several substation installation projectsConduct daily site inspections, audits, and toolbox talksEnsure compliance with company procedures, HSE legislation, and network operator requirementsAssist with RAMS, incident investigations, and corrective actionsLead by example to promote a proactive safety cultureLiaise with project managers, contractors, and client representativesRequirementsProven experience as an HSE Adviser on construction or electrical infrastructure projects (substations experience desirable)Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and industry best practicesNEBOSH Certification Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sitesHV ExperienceMust be SPEN Authorised  What’s on OfferPAYE day rate between £450–£500 P/D, dependent on experienceOpportunity to work on key electrical infrastructure projects in ScotlandSupportive and collaborative project environment For any further information prior to applying, please contact Jack Bonnick at NRL on - jack.bonnick@nrl.co.uk The NRL Group connect global companies with the right people to bring engineering projects to life.
