In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providingexceptional customer service and administrative support. The ideal candidate will possessexcellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate manor, ensuring thatpatients feel welcome and supported throughout their interactions with our practice.Duties Are Listed Below But Are Not Limited To Greet patients and visitors as they arrive at the practice, ensuring a positive firstimpression. Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations,using electronic booking systems. Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and courteously, directing inquiries to theappropriate staff members or departments. Respond to patient queries and provide information about services, opening hours, andother relevant information. Assist with general administrative tasks, such as photocopying, scanning, and filingdocuments. Adhere to practice policies and procedures, including those related to patientconfidentiality and data protection. Handle queries and process requests for prescription medications. Manage card payments for prescription medications.Essential Criteria Previous experience in the receptionist role. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and empatheticwith patients and colleagues. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask andprioritise tasks efficiently. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong IT skillsDesirable Criteria Previous experience working within GP practice.
