Join a rapidly growing Belgian food company and play a key role in shaping a best-in-class safety culture.As our HSE Manager (Health, Safety & Environment), you will define, implement, and continuously improve the site’s HSE strategy. Acting as the key expert for all safety, prevention, and environmental matters, you will drive alignment with legislation, internal standards, and industry best practices.This is a standalone role for a passionate HSE manager who thrives in a production environment and wants to contribute to a zero-incident, safety-first culture within the food manufacturing sector.Your Key ResponsibilitiesAs Prevention Advisor (HSE):Develop, implement, and monitor prevention plans for the site in close collaboration with Plant Managers.Build and strengthen HSE awareness by coaching, training, inspiring, and engaging employees at all levels.Act as the site’s subject-matter expert for safety, well-being, and risk prevention.Analyze production procedures, workflows, and work methods to identify risks and propose corrective actions.Conduct regular workplace inspections and lead root-cause analyses of incidents to drive continuous improvement.Deliver internal training (First Aid, fire safety, workplace safety, well-being).Lead and maintain the Food Defense program.Oversee safety compliance during technical projects, including contractor management and “working with third parties” procedures.Plan and execute internal safety drills and evacuation exercises.As Environmental Coordinator:Ensure correct maintenance of the waste register and compliance with regulatory reporting obligations.Serve as the main point of contact for governmental bodies and prepare periodic reports related to environmental permits and compliance.Develop initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of production operations.Monitor environmental and safety KPIs for the Belgian site and support improvement proposals at group level.Conduct internal environmental and safety audits on a regular basis.Represent the company in the Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work (CPBW / PBW).What You BringA Master’s degree (preferably Electromechanics) and certified Prevention Advisor Level 2 or Level 1.Minimum 5 years of experience in a Prevention Advisor role within a production/manufacturing environment.Experience in the food industry (bakery/viennoiserie) is a strong plus.Fluent in Dutch and French.A creative, engaging approach to promoting safety and motivating others.A result-driven mindset with strong skills in developing action plans and HSE processes.Hands-on, flexible, proactive attitude with a strong sense of ownership.Team-oriented with excellent influencing and stakeholder-management skills.A holistic thinker who acts in the overall interest of the company.OfferGross salary dependent on experience.
